Well the data protection
disclosure was incomplete, and Alliance & Leicester have set quite
a crazy deadline for the return of my hardship form. So I've sent them
the following,
17th November 2007
Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to you today for a number of reasons. The foremost of which is to confirm receipt of a form intended to aid in the declaration of Financial Hardship. I note that I have ten days to return the form, this is insufficient time. To accurately complete the form I will need to contact all my creditors to ascertain the outstanding balances. Therefore I will require an additional 14 days. Please send written confirmation of both the extension, and also of the amount that Alliance & Leicester Alleges I owe. My secondary reason for writing this letter is in relation to my recent Data Protection Disclosure request. I have now received the details that Alliance & Leicester despatched, but note that they are far from complete. I specifically requested all details held about myself, this includes both internal and external correspondence relating to both my account and the current dispute. I also specifically requested a copy of a recorded conversation. The request detailed the date, time and the name of the advisor to whom I spoke. I would expect to receive a copy of Alliance & Leicester's system notes for my accounts, and also of any internal email correspondence relating to myself or my accounts. Alliance & Leicester has simply sent me back copies of statements, this is insufficient. As you will be aware the Data Protection Act 1998 entitles me to request copies of all details held in regard to myself. Please note that payment has already been made for this request, Alliance & Leicester has until the 17th of December to provide written confirmation that they are supplying these details, if they fail to do so then I will refer this issue to the data protection registrar. Many thanks for your time Yours sincerely Ben Tasker |
