Today is the 14th of September and I have had no word from HSBC whatsoever in relation to my previous letter. Unfortunately I managed to forget to send the previous letter recorded delivery. So I figured I would send a gentle reminder, with the previous letter attached through recorded delivery. The letter can be seen below; Dear Sir/Madam,
I wrote to HSBC on the 31st August in relation to the unauthorised charges levied against my account (**-**-** ********). I specified a deadline of the 20th September 2007, by this time HSBC is expected to have confirmed to me in writing, or by email that the £415 removed from my account wothput my authorisation has been replaced. This is a reminder letter, and also to inform you that for my convenience I have created the following reference for this issue: ****-*********. In the unlikely event that HSBC did not receive my previous letter I am willing to extend the deadline to the 1st of October but only if HSBC sends me written confirmation by the 20th September 2007. Please find attached a copy of my previous letter, and please also note that if I have not received correspondence from HSBC by the 20th of September 2007, either to confirm that HSBC have replaced the funds, or did not receive my previous correspondence then I will be pursuing another course of action. If HSBC fails to comply with my request then I will be seeking the assistance of the Financial Ombudsman Service as well as examining the option of bringing the case to a county court.
Yours sincerely Ben Tasker This letter will be despatched tomorrow morning, so I expect I will have a reply within the next week. |
