BUGGER is a project management system, primarily aimed at the reporting and tracking of software bugs and errors.

BUGGER is released under the GNU GPL.

BUGGER has a few dependancies, these are

Claims_DB
Claims_DB_listener
A Web server that supports CGI
Standard BusyBox apps - Sed, Awk etc.

BUGGER connects to an external database server running Claims_DB_listener and Claims_DB. If these are running on the same server as BUGGER the DATABASE_SERVER variable should be configured as 127.0.0.1

It is currently possible to mark bugs as

Open - Unassigned
Open - Assigned to Developer
Closed - Resolved
Closed - Need more Info
Suspended - Sent for Testing

Users can provide their e-mail address when submitting a bug report, however this will only be visible to Developers. Users can also post comments on bugs, which is useful if more information needs to be supplied.

Once a bug has been closed, previous comments remain visible but no new comments can be added. This is done to avoid spam.

Bug Report pages contain a link to the relevant changelog.

BUGGER uses checksum based caching for faster response times.
