Well it has been nearly 4 months since I began my correspondence with
Ipswich Borough Council on the subject of Residents Parking Permits and
motorcycles, so far my only breakthrough has been in getting the
Principal Parking Officer to actually reply to me. I have been told
about schemes that are due to begin next year, and I have been ignored,
There has allegedly been a
special meeting held about our case, however I have not yet heard
anythign substantial about our case. The most I seem to have heard from
the Council is "Well we did a study last year and the issue of
motorcycles was not raised," that does not change the fact that it has
been raised now.
The reason for this quick update is that my partner received a note
from one of the local residents this morning, wrapped in a plastic bag
and left on her bike. It reads as follows
To whom it may concern can you park
your contraption in your own street as you are pissing off the
residents in this street, Thank you for your co-operation.
Whilst I can understand their frustration, the fact remains that nobody
has a legal right to park outside their house. This is not our doing,
it is in fact the councils procrastination that is affecting other
residents.
This has to stop now
