Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you on the subject of parking permits. My partner and I have recently moved into Christchurch
Street, which as I am sure you are aware is largely a Z3 Parking zone. Having signed our Tenancy agreement we proceeded to the
Town hall in order to obtain our 30 day exemptions. We both own motorcycles, these two bikes form our only means of transport
and between them occupy a space of approximately 1 metre 25 cm by 76cm. I am sure you can appreciate that this is far less than
even the smallest car on the market. We were, however, informed that Parking permits are issued on a one per household basis. I
am writing to you in order to discuss this, as not only do motorcycles require far less space to park, modern four-strokes are
far more environmentally friendly than most other automobiles. I understand that where cars are concerned, the issuing of a
second permit would lead to a much higher demand on the parking zones, however it is possible to park 3 bikes in the space
occupied by the average car. I do not think I need to remind you that offering a second parking permit at the same cost of £30
a year would certainly be in the councils interest. We do not have any means to store a second bike, nor are we ever likely to.
The Reference number on our Temporary exemption is ***** and the Registration on it is **** ***, the registration of the
motorcycle for which we would like a second permit is **** ***.

Please consider this request carefully, I would not want to think that I live in a town where the Council are entirely Car
orientated. I sincerely hope we can resolve this issue, we would be happy for the second permit to carry the registration of
one of the bikes and thus be valid for that vehicle only.

Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon

Yours Sincerely

Ben Tasker MOC
