I mentioned this story yesterday,
Comedian and writer Langham has been taken to court under charges of making and possessing indecent images of children, he is also accused of having comitted a serious sexual offence with a girl under 18. Today Paul Whitehouse (the Fast show) took the stand. He said he had no knowledge of the images on his comedy partners laptop, he explained that the character that Langham claims to have been researching for was his idea. However he did also say that Langham had never suggested that the character should be a paedophile.
The media coverage certainly suggests Langhams guilt, although it may well have a tint of bias. As I stated yesterday however, regardless of his intent Langham did have those images on his computer. The possession (and purchasing) of these images only serves to encourage those who damage children. Its is completely unacceptable, and I will personally be very surprised if Mr Langham is found not guilty.
