The week so far

14 09 07 - 21:09

There has been some interesting news this week,Someone from PC World has compared buying a PC world computer and loading it with Linux to Buying a BMW and putting a Ford engine into it. Kinda depends on the BMW and the Ford Engine being used really, but the obvious intent is clear. Given the technical expertise of the staff in every PC World I have ever been into, I'm not surprised to hear such a pointless, stupid and factually incorrect comment emanating from within PC World.

Langham has been sentenced to 10 months for downloading pornographic media, whatever his true reasons for downloading them, child pornography cannot be tolerated, and his downloading of them only encourages the creators to abuse more children. Hopefully such a widely publicised case may serve as a deterrant for at least a few of the sick bastards who make and view such content.

My apologies for Road Safety week moving slower than the M25 a 17.30. I have been more constrained for time this week than I expected to be, I have however posted several articles, and am intending to publish at least one more over the next few days.

I complained to HSBC several weeks ago about £415 of bank charges, their deadline was today, but I have not received a response. I contacted the Office of Fair Trading about the matter, they have noted it for future reference and sent me some useful information. I now have a choice between waiting 6 weeks before the case will qualify for investigation by the Financial Ombudsman Service, or to file papers and take them to a court sometime in the near future.
There will be more posted on this very soon.
