03 05 07 - 14:19Of equal importance though is the current discussion between Apple and Greenpeace, some may recall that Apple has announced it's decision to be more environmentally friendly. Apples decision is definitely a good thing, but Greenpeace want to see more, clearly they are concerned this could be a marketing stunt. Steve Jobs has replied
IBM have announced the technology of the future - Snowflake chips! Basically these are microchips with microscopic vacuum holes between the electrical pathways. This prevents electricity transferrence and so should create chips that are faster (IBM says 35%) and more energy efficient (IBM says 15%). The only downside is there is still quite a bit of work to be done, so the technology will not be in use until 2009. Still thats only two years.
Iraq is currently pleading with other countries to write off its debts. I think given past history it is a possibility, although all countries seem to tighten up at the first mention of writing a debt off.
