Frequently asked questions
How do I know
my keys are safe with
you?
We will keep your keys in a key
storage
box and will code them rather than have addresses on them. Codes will
be kept in a separate secure location. I have an enhanced police
check that I will show you when we meet.
What if my pet
is ill?
First of all we will make every
effort
to contact you on the numbers you provide. We will seek advice from
your usual vet if necessary. In the event of an emergency, or being
unable to contact you we will take your pet to a vet if we deem it
necessary. We will use your own vet but in an emergency if necessary,
we will take your pet to the nearest local vet.
Can I phone to
see how my pet is?
Yes, you are welcome to phone
between
9am and 7pm to see how your pet is. We understand that you will miss
your pets when you go away and, appreciate that it can be hard to
leave them. We will be glad to reassure you that your pet is happy
and well.
Will you walk
my dog on a lead or off a
lead?
My insurance policy only covers me
to
walk dogs on a lead. Therefore if you do want me to let your dog off
a lead, I will do so at my discretion, however, you would need to
sign a form to state that you will accept all financial and other
consequences for events that may occur as a result of your dog being
off a lead.
Will someone be
with my pet at all
times?
We promise that your pet will not
be
left alone for very long when boarding with us. Looking after your
pets is my full time job. There will be odd occasions for instance
the school run, which takes 10 minutes when your pet would be left at
home, but for the vast majority of time your pet will always have
company.
What do I need
to bring for my pet?
Please bring with you an adequate
supply of food, bedding and any medication. For dogs please bring
their lead and any extra equipment you may use (such as a halter). If
there is anything special to your pet (e.g. special toy) please bring
this with you, as it will help your pet to settle in.
